Contribution Guide
Thank you for your interest in helping preserve and grow the Thadou language!
This project aims to build open resources (dictionary, parallel texts, and translation datasets) so that Thadou can thrive in the digital age.
✨Ways You Can Contribute
- Add Words & Phrases
- Share new Thadou words with their English meanings.
- Include part of speech (noun, verb, adjective, etc.) if possible.
- Add example sentences in both Thadou and English.
- Translate Sentences
- Work on short, everyday sentences.
- Keep translations natural, not word-for-word.
- If you’re unsure, leave a comment instead of guessing.
- Review & Improve
- Check contributions for spelling, grammar, and accuracy.
- Suggest better translations or alternative meanings.
- Share Cultural Notes (Optional)
- Add short notes about cultural context (e.g., idioms, proverbs, honorifics).
- This helps AI and humans understand deeper meanings.
🚀 How to Contribute
- Go to our contribution app
- Log in / Sign up
- Use your email
- Once you sign up, send us an email at info@kukiinpi.us that you have created an account, then we will ad you to the Base.
- After being added to the Base, you can start creating records in the sentence and words table.
- Once inside, choose the Thadou–English Translation Base
- Use your email
- Add an Entry on the Words Table or
- Fill in the columns:

- Save your work
- Click Save after each entry.
- Your contribution will be visible to the community.
✅Contribution Guidelines
- Be respectful: Different dialects exist — all are valuable.
- Be accurate: If unsure, mark the entry for review.
- Be consistent: Use standard spelling when possible.
- Be collaborative: Suggestions and feedback are always welcome.
🎯Our Goal
- We want to collect at least:
- 10,000 words
- 50,000 sentence pairs (Thadou ↔ English)
